Larry King, the host of Larry King
Live on CNN for the past 25 years, will be leaving the nightly
news talk show in the fall. He broke the news himself with a tweet just hours before he discussed it on his show.
On the show, he told viewers he had asked to retire so he could spend more time with family, saying “For now, for here, it’s time to hang up the nightly suspenders.”
The show achieved a Guiness World Record for longest running show, with the same host and same time slot on the same network.
