The Globe and Mail has announced a new Books section will be launched online on January 10, 2009.
Globe editor-in-chief, Edward Greenspon said, in a news release:
“At a time when other newspapers are cutting back, The Globe and Mail is
committed to investing in Books coverage and expanding its reader audience. Book lovers will have greater access to even more thought provoking reviews, as well as engaging commentary and other new elements on the books website.”
Peter Scowen, the Globe‘s former deputy features editor will be communities editor of the Books portal and will work alongside books editor Martin Levin and associate editor Colin MacKenzie.
