The National Magazine Awards Foundation (NMAF) found itself struggling a bit with finances this year, as sponsorship was down during these tough economic times. To help out, a group of “magazine creators” is contributing to a fund that will go toward one of the awards.
The fund was launched by Kim Pittaway, a Toronto-based freelance journalist and past president of the NMAF [and contributor to J-Source]. It began with an email to a group of Pittaways friends and colleagues and spread from there.
Read Pittaway’s full email appeal and find out how to contribute at Masthead Online.
