CTV has relaunched its website, including a new look and “customized national and local news pages,” the company has announced.
Among the changes to the site are a new “rotator box” at the top of the page with links to breaking news stories and events. The News tab at the top of the page opens to a full listing of news options, including local (provincial sites), news programs such as W-5, the MyNews user-generated page, anchor bios and schedules.
The site has more white space and a less chaotic design.
According to the CTV news release, the site (then CTVNews.ca) started in 2000 with 12 staff and 300,000 unique visitors a month and nowadays gets 3.2 million unique visitors per month and streams 5.7 million videos a month.
