The Press-Republican in Plattsburgh, N.Y., is lamenting the loss of a Quebec-basedcolumnist who had written about all things Canadian for the newspaper since 1998. Writer Peter Black told the newspaper thathis employer, the CBC, sees the endeavour as a conflict with its own best interests. Funny it took eight years to discern the conflict.
