A deal between Astral Media Inc. and Standard Broadcasting Corp. Ltd. that would create Canada’s largest network of commercial radio stations is imminent, reports the Globe and Mail. Astral would take over Standard in a buy-out projected at $1.2 billion, creating a combined network of 81 AM and FM stations stretching from coast to coast.
