Linda Hoang may soon be blogging from the Great Barrier Reef.
The 19-year-old journalism student from Grant MacEwan College is one of
50 candidates shortlisted for an “island caretaker” job in Queensland,
Australia.
Hoang was among 35,000 people who applied to the Tourism Queensland
for the six-month position. The winner will chronicle their adventures
through “blog posts, photo diaries, video updates and media
interviews”, according to the Edmonton Sun.
“With her photography, PhotoShop, and video skills, Hoang created and
sent in a short audiovisual clip explaining to the world why she would
be an ideal candidate for the job,” writes Clara Ho in the Sun.
