The Toronto Star has been honoured for its “unabashed commitment to social justice, individual and civil liberties, and community and civic engagement” by the Harmony Movement, a non-profit organization that combats all forms of discrimination preventing citizens from becoming equal and active members of the civil society. The award was presented to the paper on October 24 at a gala banquet.
