A strategic alliance of minority journalists in the United States with two main goals: to raise awareness and participation of the media industry in understanding the diverse cultures represented by the UNITY alliance members; and to increase representation of people of color at all levels in the nation’s newsrooms. It brings together the national associations of Asian, Black, Hispanic and Native journalists. Many Canadian journalists of colour attend this group’s conventions.
