Forcing Derek Finkle to turn over his source materials is a classic fishing expedition that would undermine press freedoms and do nothing to solve the crime, an Ontario court heard Tuesday. Finkle, the author of a book about accused killer Robert Baltovich, is fighting a subpoena requesting him to turn over his notes to the Crown. The two-day hearing began Tuesday and wraps up today.
