Michael Goldbloom, the former publisher of the Toronto Star, will join McGill University as the new vice-president of inter-institutional affairs. Goldbloom, 53, a lawyer and former reporter, was dismissed from his position at the Star in mid-October two years after assuming the role. Also dismissed was Editor Giles Gherson, whom Goldboom had hired.
