Before joining The Post\, she was The New York Times public editor\, and previously\, the chief editor of The Buffalo News\, her hometown paper where she started as a summer intern. A graduate of Georgetown University and Northwestern University’s Medill School\, she lives in New York City. She was a member of the Pulitzer Prize Board from 2011 to 2012\, and was twice elected as a director of the American Society of News Editors\, where she led the First Amendment committee. Before his appointment in 2014\, he was the director of news content at CBC News responsible for coverage across digital\, radio and television. He is a veteran of leading media organizations in Canada\, having come to Canada as a launch editor of the National Post in 1998. He has also worked at the Toronto Star and held two previous positions at The Globe\, as the managing editor and national editor. Before his arrival in Canada he worked as a news reporter for The Belfast Telegraph\, The Daily Record in Glasgow and in London he worked for The Daily Mail and The Daily Telegraph.
