While AI offers tremendous potential for positive change, responsible development and implementation requires careful attention to safety considerations. With John J. Hopfield, he received the  <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nobelprize.org\/prizes\/physics\/2024\/summary\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nobel Prize in Physics<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00ab\u00a0for foundational discoveries and inventions that enable machine learning with artificial neural networks,\u201d including his invention of the Boltzmann machine using statistical physics techniques.
